Ferris Bueller Sequel of the Day: So the Ferris Bueller “sequel” that was teased last week has been unveiled in full, and it’s… an ad for Honda starring Matthew Broderick as himself.

I feel sorry for Mr. Broderick. When a company throws a lot of money at you, I’m betting it’s really hard to say no. Even if you aren’t greedy, think of all the good you could do. If it were me, I’d think of the thousands of people I could cure of malaria. Or all the doggies and kitties I could keep from being put down. How can you not sell out?
In the right hands this could have been amazing, but instead it is just a poorly done rehash of old jokes. He doesn’t even play Ferris.

Yeah, actually, he’s one of my oldest and dearest friends, I know him better than probably anyone but his girlfriend and his family, and as a feminist I count him as a valuable ally.

About your friend Rilgon: I think he’s got a good point initially, but he just falls into hilarity and doesn’t understand what Destiny is saying when he explains it. He, like you, doesn’t quite understand what Destiny is trying to say.
I hate Destiny.
I always root against him. He’s an ass, but that’s part of what makes him interesting. Pro players have to have some sort of identifiable character, otherwise they usually aren’t that interesting. IdrA and Destiny are dicks. Sheth and Grubby are manner. It’s all part of their persona.
When Destiny was talking about rape, he was referring to it as it is culturally referred to as. Among people with even the slightest sense of humor, “Getting raped” in a game means that you were metaphoricaly sodomized by the other player. He took you into an alley, bent you over a trash can and shoved his skill right up your ass. It does not mean that he went out into the real world and forced sex upon a woman. There is absolutely no correlation between sex and getting raped in a game. It just means that someone overpowered you and you couldn’t react to protect yourself. In this sense, someone beat you in a game with no hope for you to win.
I’d like to take a moment and say something.

What the hell? An ally? Is there a war going on? Girls vs Boys? Last time I checked, we’re all on equal footing as far as gender goes.
